Mitchell B. Hollander, M.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Hollander is a founding physician at MIU. He actively treated urology patients for over 25 years while also serving as managing partner. He assumed the full-time role of Chief Executive Officer in 2017. His innovation and passion has made MIU one of the largest independent urology practices in the Midwest with more than 60 providers, 18 locations, and a robust clinical research department.

As CEO, Dr. Hollander’s areas of focus have led the group to significant growth. He has overseen the implementation of clinical pathways across all locations, developed a molecular laboratory, advanced ancillary services, and implemented regional urologic-based surgical centers.

Dr. Hollander received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgical and Urologic Residency at the Cleveland Clinic. He then completed a fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Scott Department of Urology, Houston, Texas.

Jason Hafron, M.D

Chief Medical Officer and Director of Clinical Research

Dr. Hafron is an experienced physician, leader, and professor of urology at the William Beaumont School of Medicine, Oakland University in Royal Oak. Along with his role as Chief Medical Officer, he is also an active physician, specializing in the minimally invasive treatment of cancers of the prostate, kidney, and bladder utilizing robotic surgery.

Dr. Hafron earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loyola University Chicago-Stritch School of Medicine followed by his General Surgery and Urology Residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. He continued his training as a Fellow in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute, Cleveland, Ohio.

As Director of Clinical Research, Dr. Hafron oversees our robust clinical research department, giving patients access to promising treatments and diagnostics.

Nicole Brach

Chief Operating Officer

Nicole is responsible for the operations of all clinical and administrative areas at MIU. With over 30 years of health care experience, she is involved in strategic planning, and leadership and staff development. Nicole holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration and is a registered nurse, adding value to both the clinical and business components of the practice. Her forward-thinking, upbeat approach has helped make MIU a leader in urology in the Midwest.
