Education & Training

Dr. Skalak received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2013 in Biology and his medical degree from Albany Medical College in 2020. He completed his surgical internship and residency in urology at the Detroit Medical Center in 2025. He then completed a fellowship in Combined Endourology and Stone Disease Surgery/Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis in 2026.

Dr. Skalak’s research interests include urologic oncology, kidney stones, and BPH. He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications and has presented at both regional and national meetings.

When not working he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and playing tennis.


Certifications & Memberships

Dr. Skalak is board eligible by the American Board of Urology.

He is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA) and the Endourological Association.
