Education & Training

Dr. Michael Chien earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Mathematics at Kalamazoo College and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his urology residency at the Vattikuti Urology Institute at Henry Ford Hospital, training under pioneers in robotic surgery.

His clinical and academic work focuses on minimally invasive surgery, kidney stone disease, urologic oncology, and BPH

Outside of medicine, Dr. Chien enjoys spending time with his family, backpacking, cooking, and following motorsport racing.
