Jorge R. Torriglia, M.D. is a partner in the Michigan Institute of Urology. Dr. Torriglia has practiced in the Detroit area since 1979. Dr. Torriglia is board certified in the specialty of Urology by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Torriglia is experienced in all areas of general adult and pediatric Urology.
Dr. Torriglia earned his medical degree from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina in 1971. He completed his Internship at Bon Secours Hospital in 1974. Dr. Torriglia completed his General Surgery Residency at Providence Hospital in 1976. His Urology Residency was completed at the Mayo Clinic in 1979.
Dr. Torriglia is on staff at Oakwood Hospital, Dearborn, Oakwood Heritage Hospital, and Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Dr. Torriglia was voted Best Doctor in America/Midwest Region in 1996 and 1997 and 2008.
Dr. Torriglia is a member of the American Urological Association, Wayne County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society, Mayo Alumni Association, and the North Central Section of the American Urology Association.
Dr. Torriglia's hobbies include golf and coaching soccer.
