Mark L. Hammel, M.D.
Mark L. Hammel, M.D. is an associate of the Michigan Institute of Urology, P.C. He has practiced Urology in metropolitan Detroit since 1980. Dr. Hammel was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1981. He specializes in all areas of Adult Urology and sub-specializes in the treatment of Kidney Stones using Laser and Lithotripsy.
Dr. Hammel received his Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University in 1968. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Brussels, Belgium in 1974. Dr. Hammel completed his Internship at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis in 1975. He completed his Residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan in 1979.
Dr. Hammel's hospital affiliations include William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and Troy campuses.
Dr. Hammel is co-founder of the Unasource Health Group and founder of the Unasource Surgical Center in Troy, Michigan.
Dr. Hammel is fluent in English, French and German. In his free time, Dr. Hammel and his wife, Debi, enjoy skiing and spending quality time with the five grandchildren.
