Claude Reitelman, M.D.
Claude Reitelman, M.D. is a partner in the Michigan Institute of Urology, P.C. He is board certified in pediatric urology, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of urological diseases in children. He is the Director of Pediatric Urology at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit. He has a special interest in congenital abnormalities of the kidneys, bladder, and reproductive system and pediatric urinary tract infections and vesicoureteral reflux.
Dr. Reitelman received a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1976. He received his Medical Doctorate at Emory University School of Medicine in 1981. He completed his internship and general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York in 1982 and his urology residency at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York in 1987.
Dr. Reitelman has been in practice in the Metropolitan Detroit area for more than 20 years after completing his fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in 1988. He has been a member of Department of Urology at the Children's Hospital of Michigan, a faculty member of the Department of Urology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, and the Chief Pediatric Urologist of the Myelomeningocele Clinic at the Children's Hospital of Michigan and the Neuromuscular Clinic at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak.
He is on staff at St. John Hospital, Detroit, William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Huron Valley Sinai Hospital, Commerce, St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital, Pontiac, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center, Providence Hospital, Southfield and the Children's Hospital of Michigan.
Dr. Reitelman is a member of the American Urological Association, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Surgeons.
