Mitchell B. Hollander, M.D. is a partner in the Michigan Institute of Urology, PC. He has practiced Urology in the Metropolitan Detroit area since 1992. He was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1994. Dr. Hollander specializes in all aspects of adult Urology as well as sub-specializing in Male Reproductive Medicine & Surgery including microsurgical vasectomy reversal (vasovasostomy / vasoepididymostomy), testicular extractions for invitro fertilization, surgical management of erectile dysfunction, penile reconstruction, penile implantation and minimally invasive treatment of prostate.
Dr. Hollander received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1982. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine, Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1986. General surgical residency was completed at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio in 1988 and Urologic Residency at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio in 1991. He additionally completed a Fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine & Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Scott Department of Urology, Houston, Texas in 1992.
Dr. Hollander's hospital affiliations include William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, and Troy Beaumont Hospital.
Dr. Hollander has presented and published numerous papers and book chapters both locally and nationally regarding male infertility and erectile dysfunction issues and lectures regularly on these topics. He has served as both a Principal Investigator and sub-investigator for research studies involving drug therapy for overactive bladder, male erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, benign prostate disease and male voiding dysfunction.
Dr. Hollander is a member of the Oakland County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society, American Urology Association, Michigan Urology Association and the Resolve Fertility Association.
Dr. Hollander's hobbies include golf, running, basketball, skiing, yoga, hockey and swimming.
